#supergrooms #clipcloptips part 1

Written on November 29, 2017 at 1:00 pm

As the clipping season is in full swing it’s a good idea for all you #supergrooms to swot up on the various styles. In our first part we focus on the Bib clip where the hair is clipped only from the bottom of the neck.

– Suitable for: Horses in light work, such as those ridden lightly but frequently.

– The good: Most of the coat remains, so horses need minimal extra management and can often be turned out with the same level of rugging as an unclipped horse.

– The bad: As only a small area is clipped, horses should be monitored carefully when being worked to ensure they are not overheating.
