What I'm looking for:
I would like to work somewhere that I can learn lots, with plenty of training to improve my riding. I am keen to work abroad or go on the show circuit as a groom- for instance the sunshine tour. I am very hard-working, positive, caring, and have a good sense of humour- I hope!
Personal: competed at lower level BS as teenager on a ticket (BN and Disc) with own pony- just for fun, as well as dressage, showing and hunting. During my time in Germany was comfortably training at 1.10/1.15m with own horse (but he was a very good, kind horse), unfortunately this horse was unwell for most of the time that I had him once returning to England so I spent a lot of time rehabbing him and re-building him (this did however teach me a lot about nursing and equine first aid etc- poulticing, bandaging, wound flushing, inter-muscular injections, temperature taking, massage, stretches, wound-packing, conditioning and rebuilding, ice-packing, etc). Sadly I lost this horse 2 years ago. I am currently without a competition horse and have not competed for about 3 years but I am really excited to start training and working towards this. I have a yearling which I plan to back in 2 years and he\'s kept with a friends yearling so would not need a stable until much later. I also still have the little horse that I had as a teenager but she is on loan so would not need to come with me either- I currently ride her 2 times a week. I also flat school 3 other horses and hack out another so usually ride 6 times a week but not as intensely as I would like to- I would rather be riding 6 a day instead of 6 a week. (But I\'m sure we all would). I love showjumping and dressage and would really like to improve at both. I also enjoy cross country but I am not always brave cross country at the start of a session but I think this is only because I haven\'t done it often enough; I would like to do it more.
